Keep clear of the edges of the Marina channels. 4. Be aware that yachts and larger craft may need to... continue reading

Each year boaters are made seriously ill from carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning and the consequences can be fatal.   In 2013 a mother and daughter died from CO poisoning on their boat on Windermere. CO build-up in the cabin can occur with one or a mix of these factors: · Badly maintained or misused appliances. · Exhaust fumes from a boat's... continue reading

Fuel options on Lake Windermere
Posted: 4 years 11 months ago
Since the fuel jetty in Bowness closed in 2015 there have been a number of discussions on new fuel stations on the lake.  At Windermere Marina Village we offer a diesel station in our entrance channel but unfortunately any plans for petrol to be installed elsewhere haven’t yet come to fruition.  Until such time a petrol pump is installed on the lake, we would ask that the following guidelines are strictly followed to help make refuelling by hand as safe as possible: Never refuel with petrol (or diesel) within the Marina – this is a serious fire and... continue reading
