I have enjoyed berthing my sailing cruiser at Windermere Marina Village for three years now. All the people I've met at the marina so far all share my love of boats and Lake Windermere. Everyone I've met seems to get along well with one another and value the convivial relaxed quiet atmosphere on the jetty I occupy.
I particularly value & enjoy the way you can hire one or more of the marina's excellent cottages which are immediately adjacent to the jetties for family get togethers. Sam and her colleagues in the office have always been extremely professional and helpful whenever I've wanted to rent a cottage. The cottages are very comfortable and make a nice change from sleeping aboard my boat.
Everyone I know at WMV agrees that Dan Fairweather, the Marina's friendly, helpful moorings manager, does an excellent job caring for all our craft when we're not there. This means a lot to me. I know my little boat is only worth a fraction of some of the more expensive boats in the marina but I know they're all equally well cared for under Dan's aegis. This gives me peace of mind. My boat is for relaxing - not for worrying about ! The sheltered situation and location of the marina is especially worth a mention. I feel pleased to have my boat based there. My only regret is that I can't spend more time there.
